This is the short version of getting a team fully running on TeamDock, in a sensible order. Each step has its own detailed guide in the Help Centre if you want more, but you can follow this list top to bottom and be ready for your first game.
Day one: create your team
- 1Create your team and pick your web address (like yourteam.teamdock.ca). Your free trial starts right away, and no card is needed to look around.
- 2In Settings, add your logo, accent colour and division so the app and your public page look like your team.
- 3Build your roster: add each player with their jersey number and position.
Get your people in
- 1Invite parents and players: share the join code from the Members page, or send per-player invite links so families land already linked to their child.
- 2Approve anyone waiting in the join queue on the Members page.
- 3Ask everyone to add TeamDock to their phone home screen and turn on notifications, so nobody misses an update.
Connect your schedule and video
- 1Paste your association's calendar feed in Settings, so games and practices import automatically.
- 2Add your first Film Room video by pasting a YouTube or Vimeo link, or connect a team YouTube playlist so games import on their own.
Turn on what your team uses
Open Customize Your Dock in Settings and switch on the features you want. Everything is on by default except Attendance, which stays off until you turn it on.
- Attendance, to see who's coming to games and practices.
- Player Feedback and Development Goals, for private coaching notes.
- Photos, Polls, Fundraising and Files, depending on what your team runs.
Before your first game
- Post a welcome update in News so the team knows where to look.
- Decide what's public: your schedule and roster stay private until you choose to show them.
- When your 14-day trial ends, add a payment method to keep everything. Nothing is charged unless you decide to subscribe.
