Release Notes
What's new in TeamDock.
We're always improving TeamDock for coaches and families. Here's a look at recent updates.
October 2026
Schedule
- Schedule change alerts now tell you exactly what moved. Instead of "3 changed events", you get the games by name: "Moved: Game vs Orillia Terriers, now Sat, Oct 18, 8:30 p.m. (was 7:00 p.m.)", a rink change with both rinks, and cancellations named rather than counted. Moved and cancelled games always come first, so a pile of new fixtures can never bury the one that affects tonight. Tap the alert and you land on What changed, a new page under Schedule that keeps every change for 30 days with what each one used to be, so you can check back long after the notification is gone. Games coming up in the next month are also marked on the schedule itself for a week after they move: the list shows the old time struck through beside the new one with a Moved or New rink tag, and the calendar puts a small marker on the day. Coaches see the same list when they press Sync now.
October 2026
Players
- Players now have a profile. Add a photo and it appears on the roster, and parents and players can manage their own: tap a name on the Roster to open it. Coaches can record a game's stats straight from the schedule now, without needing to post a video first, and a player's season totals show on their profile. If your team publishes its roster, players you have chosen to show get a public page too, and your public site features a different one of them each week.
October 2026
Roster
- The Roster is grouped by position, so forwards, defence and goalies each have their own section with a heading that stays put as you scroll. Each player has their own colour, which makes a long list far easier to scan on a phone, and names are no longer cut off.
- The roster now shows which parents and guardians go with which player, so a family new to the team can place everybody, and anyone can reach the right person about a ride or something left at the rink. Tap a name to open a direct chat. Names only: no phone numbers or email addresses are shown to anyone, and searching the roster now finds players by their family name too.
- The roster is now open to your whole team. Players and parents can look up a teammate's number or position instead of asking a coach, and it stays read only for them: adding, editing and deactivating players remain with staff. Deactivated players are shown to staff only, and Roster has moved into the Team section of the menu.
October 2026
Chats
- If someone sends you a direct message, or mentions you by name, and it sits unread for half a day, TeamDock will now email you to say a message is waiting. It never does this for ordinary team chat, it never quotes what was said, and it only does it once. You can turn it off under Settings, Notifications.
- You can delete your own messages, and now they disappear completely rather than leaving a "message removed" line behind. Posted to the wrong chat, or got a time wrong? Remove it and it is simply gone. A message a coach removes still shows that it was removed, so nothing is taken down quietly. The delete button was also nearly invisible on your own messages, which is fixed.
October 2026
Reliability
- If your phone loses signal while a screen is loading, TeamDock now says "No connection" and gives you a Try again button, instead of the error page it used to show. Nothing was ever wrong with your team's information in that situation, and reopening the app should no longer be the fix. The schedule also got a correctness fix: the calendar was working out "today" twice, once on our server and once on your phone, and a phone whose clock sat a little differently could make the page rebuild itself on the way in.
October 2026
Coach's Room
- Coach's Room refinements. The button changes with the tab: Share something on Team, Give feedback on Players. Paste a video link and you now see what you pasted, with its title, thumbnail and length, before you send it. Setting a goal opens a drawer rather than taking you to another page, and new goals simply start as Active. The Players tab no longer counts how long it has been since you wrote to someone: coaches use written feedback at very different rates and both ends of that are fine, so the only things flagged now are the ones where somebody is genuinely waiting on a reply.
- Already keep teaching videos in a YouTube playlist? Connect it under Playlists in Coach's Room and you can pick straight from it when you share, with thumbnails and run times, and a marker on anything you've sent before. Nothing is imported and nothing syncs: it stays your playlist, and only what you choose reaches the team. Film Room clips now have Share to Coach's Room beside Share as feedback, for a clip the whole team or a position group should see. And if somebody drops a good video into a team chat, staff can save it to Coach's Room from the message rather than watching it scroll away.
- New in the sidebar: Coach's Room, where player development lives. Found a YouTube video or a Short worth watching? Paste the link, add a line about what to look for, and send it to the whole team, to a position group like your goalies or defence, or to a couple of named players. It plays right inside TeamDock. You can share a Film Room clip the same way, or just write a note. Private player feedback and development goals moved in here too, so Feedback and Goals are now one place instead of two: coaches get Team and Players tabs, families get Watch and My development. Every old link still works.
October 2026
Player Feedback
- Feedback is a coaching tool now, not a form. Pick a player, pick a type (Praise, Development, Correction or Check-in), write a sentence, choose who sees it. No title to invent, no date to fill in, and a heading is built for you from the type and the game. Everything else moved behind Add details. From a player on your Roster, Give feedback opens a quick note without a page load, and any Film Room clip can become feedback with Share as feedback.
- Your Feedback page now opens with what needs you: families waiting to talk, notes nobody has confirmed yet, and the players you haven't said anything to in a while. Families tap Got it, or tick "I'd like to talk about this", and you actually hear about it. Previously a family could ask for a conversation and nothing told the coach, which is now fixed. You also see who acknowledged a note and when.
- Players and families get a development timeline instead of a list of records: what the coach said, the goal it relates to, the clip that shows it, and whether anything is waiting on them. Coaches can also tag an assistant or trainer on a note to keep them in the loop. That tells them the note involves them; it does not change who can read it, since your staff can already see everything on the team.
October 2026
Coach Tools
- Two free printable practice plan templates, no account needed: a full-ice plan with blank rink diagrams, and a half-ice plan with three drill blocks each with their own half-rink diagram for station work. Fill them in on screen or print them for the clipboard. Find them under Resources.
- A free printable hockey tryout evaluation form: twenty numbered rows, six criteria, a 1 to 5 scale and room for notes, sized for a clipboard. Numbers rather than names, because an evaluator shouldn't know whose child they're watching. The page also covers running an evaluation people trust, and the different criteria goalies need.
- A free printable hockey lineup card: four forward lines with centres, three defence pairs, goalies, and proper room for power play and penalty kill units rather than a cramped margin. Fill it in before you leave the house and pin it up in the room. That makes four free coach tools now, all under Resources and none of them needing an account.
October 2026
Attendance
- Turning Attendance on now asks you how you want it to work, instead of hiding it in a checkbox. Everyone's in by default means every player is counted as going and families only speak up about the ones they'll miss, which is the least work for everyone and what most teams should pick. Ask everyone to answer means nobody is counted until they reply, so you can see exactly who hasn't, and TeamDock can remind them. Either way you can change your mind later in Settings.
- Attendance now asks about the week in front of you, not the season. A league publishes a hundred fixtures at once, and nobody can honestly say in October whether they can make a game in March, so your dashboard shows the next few days and lets you answer them right there, with one button for "going to all of these". Everything further out is still there on Your availability whenever you want it, and it's never counted against you.
- Answering attendance now takes one tap, from wherever you are. In, Maybe and Out sit on the schedule rows, in the calendar's day panel and on the event's chat card, and tapping one saves it: no Save button, nothing to confirm. Your answer then shows on the row, so you can see what you've already dealt with instead of opening events to find out. There's also a new Your availability screen, linked from the top of the Schedule, that lists everything coming up with its own buttons, counts what's left, and can mark you down for all the ones you haven't answered in one go, without touching any answer you already gave. Thank you to the parent who asked for this.
October 2026
Film Room
- Use the film you already have, wherever it lives. Paste a LiveBarn, Google Drive, Veo or club-portal link and the Film Room makes an entry for it: tag clips, assign them to players, write the note, choose who sees it. YouTube and Vimeo still play inside the app; everything else opens in a new tab, because those services don't allow playback elsewhere. On LiveBarn you can share a single play and paste that link onto the clip, so it opens right at the moment. We link to your footage, never copy it.
- Tag mode: the video on one side, everything you tag with on the other, and nothing else on screen. Tagging a game used to mean scrolling between the picture and the form for every clip. Now the player, the time, the title, the tags, the save button and your clip list all sit in front of you at once. Find it beside Theatre on any video, press Escape to leave, and it remembers how you like to work.
- Set your own highlight lead-in. Coaches tag differently: some mark the puck crossing the line, others mark where they want players to start paying attention. The slider under the tagging rule sets how many seconds before your tag a highlight clip opens, and it applies to the clips you tag whoever is watching them, so a reel plays the way you meant it. The default is still 10 seconds before the tag and 10 after.
- The clip timestamp now follows the video while you watch, and locks in the moment you start writing the note. Tagging a game no longer depends on remembering to press a button first, and if the player ever can't report where the video is, tagging stops and says so instead of quietly saving the clip at the start of the game.
- Tagging a game no longer buzzes a player's phone once per clip. Film Room alerts are held while a coach is working and arrive as one notification when they stop, so a session that tags eight clips reaches a family once. Film Room also has its own line in Settings, Notifications now, separate from written coach feedback, so you can keep the notes and turn the tag alerts down, or off.
October 2026
Coach Notes
- Notes now have their own audience. Keep one to yourself, share it with the people you pick (your assistants but not the trainers, say), or leave it open to all coaching staff as before. Everything written until now stays visible to the whole staff, exactly as it was. Only the person who wrote a note can edit or delete it, though anyone who can see a to-do can still tick it off.
September 2026
Polls
- A new poll now emails the people you are asking. It used to reach only members who had chosen to get poll email the moment it happens, which is almost nobody, so most families saw a poll only if they opened the app or waited for their roundup. Everyone with poll email switched on is emailed when the poll opens, their roundup skips it, and replies reach the coach who opened it.
September 2026
News
- "Email the team now" reaches the whole team. It used to go only to people who had asked for news email the moment it happens, which on most rosters is almost nobody, and everyone else waited for their roundup. It now emails everyone who has news email switched on, and skips their roundup so nothing arrives twice. Replies go to the coach who wrote the post instead of into the TeamDock mailbox, and saving an edit no longer emails anyone unless you tick the box that says it will.
- Formatting in team news. Bold, italics, bullet points, numbered lists and links, from a toolbar above the box or the Ctrl+B and Ctrl+I you already know. Preview shows exactly what families will see before you post, and the same formatting carries into the app, your public page and the email. Posts you have already written are untouched.
September 2026
Chats
- Message info now says who removed a message. Coaches and managers can remove any message on their team, which is the right tool for the wrong post, but until now the only record was that it had gone. Staff opening Message info on a removed message see who took it down. Everyone else sees what they saw before.
- A chat you leave open stays current. New messages, edits and reactions now appear on their own, even after your phone has been asleep or the connection has dropped, so you no longer have to pull down or reopen the app to find out what you missed. The chat list updates the same way.
- Links in messages are now tappable, so a practice plan or a tournament page opens where before it was just text. Photos open in a proper viewer too: pinch or double tap to zoom, drag to move around, swipe down to close, and a button to save the picture.
- The unread count clears the moment you read a chat, on the Chats tab and on the app icon itself. It used to hang around after you had opened everything, sometimes until you moved around the app a few times, because the number was drawn once when the page loaded and then cached.
- Every game, practice and tournament now has its own chat. Open it from the event on the Schedule (the next game is also suggested at the top of Chats), and the thread carries the event with it: date, time, rink with a maps link, and attendance a tap away. Carpools, jersey questions and post-game photos get a home, and the Team channel goes back to being for the team. When a coach changes the event, the thread hears about it. Chats tidy themselves away two days after the event, and stay readable from the event page.
- Search and topic-chat management. Search every chat on your team from the Chats page, or one chat from its menu, and tap a result to land right on that message, however far back it is. Long threads now offer Load earlier messages at the top. In a topic chat, whoever started it (or any coach) can add and remove people and rename it from the chat's subtitle and menu, and anyone else in it can leave; the chat keeps a quiet line of who was added, removed or renamed what.
- GIFs. Tap the GIF button beside the photo button to search and send one, with a family-friendly filter on. Trending on open, search as you type.
- Pinned messages and @mentions. Coaches can pin the rink address or the tournament schedule to the top of any chat, where it stays until unpinned; tap it to jump to the original. Type @ to mention someone by name. They get a notification that says so, even if they have muted the chat, and their name is highlighted in the message. Tap the chat's subtitle to see exactly who is in it.
- Edit a message within 15 minutes of sending it (long-press, then the pencil), and it shows as edited. The message box now grows as you type and, on a phone, Enter starts a new line while the arrow sends, the way WhatsApp works. On a computer Enter sends and Shift+Enter breaks the line. The number on the TeamDock app icon now shows how many chats have something new, and clears as you read them.
- Reply to a specific message. Swipe a message to the right, or long-press it and tap the reply arrow, and your answer carries a quote of what you are answering. Tap any quote to jump straight back to the original. Handy once a thread has moved on and a plain "yes" would leave everyone guessing which question you meant.
- Reactions and read receipts. Long-press a message (or hover on a computer) to react with 👍 ❤️ 🔥 👏 💪 😂 🥅 🚨, or double-tap to drop a heart. The same long-press hands you a Copy button instead of the phone’s text-selection handles, so you grab the whole message in one tap. React to someone and only they hear about it, and in a busy team chat that arrives as a single “Sarah and 11 others reacted” instead of a buzz per thumbs-up. Your own messages now carry a checkmark that fills in as people open them, and tapping it shows exactly who has seen it and who hasn't. No more wondering whether the parents got the practice change.
September 2026
Film Room
- Highlight reels open on the play, not the celebration. There is now one rule for tagging: mark the moment itself, the puck crossing the line, the hit, the save. The reel builds the clip around it, opening 12 seconds before so the play develops on screen and running 10 seconds after. The tagging panel says so, right where you tag. The −15s and −30s buttons now rewind the video without moving your tag, so where a tag sits never depends on how long you took to reach for a button. Clips also change over cleanly: the next one is fetched behind the fade instead of buffering in front of you.
- Live game streaming. Connect your team's YouTube channel in Settings and stream games from any camera or app. TeamDock spots the broadcast automatically, shows a LIVE banner on the dashboard, alerts the whole team, and turns the stream into game film (ready for coach notes) the moment it ends.
September 2026
New Sport
- TeamDock now does soccer. The whole thing: Match labels where a game would be, keeper and outfield stats, simple positions for house league or the full CB, CDM and RW set for a rep side, and a preferred foot on every player. Pick Soccer when you create a team, or switch in Settings. On teamdock.app it reads as football throughout, because that is what most of the world calls it.
September 2026
Schedule
- A Get latest scores button, under your calendar feed in Settings. Scores arrive on their own once a day; this is for when you have just watched one go up on your association's site and want it on your schedule now.
- Final scores, without anyone typing them in. If your schedule comes from your association's calendar feed, TeamDock now reads the results back off their site once a day and puts them on the game: a W, an L or a T with the score, in your schedule and on your public page, and your record beside Next Up. Nothing to set up, and nothing to keep up to date.
- A permanent Sync button at the top of the Schedule page. Adding the schedule to Apple, Google or Outlook used to rest on a panel you could close for good, after which there was no way back on that device. The button is always there, and it now spells out the Outlook steps as well.
- New games from your association arrive the same day. Calendar feeds are cached by the associations' own websites, sometimes for a full day, so a game added on Thursday evening could take until Saturday to reach TeamDock. We now ask for a fresh copy on every sync, and a refused import is reported instead of counted as a success.
- The schedule opens on what is next, not the whole season. The list shows the coming days and loads more when you ask, with the rest of the season one tap away, and switching between Calendar and List is instant instead of reloading the page.
- Streaming a game anywhere with a public watch page? Open the game in Schedule, choose Edit, and paste it into Watch live link. Your team is notified the moment the game starts, the same as a stream we spot ourselves, and gets a Watch live button on the schedule and the dashboard, named for where it goes, from 30 minutes before until shortly after the end. YouTube, Facebook, SportsEngine, LiveBarn, Hudl, Twitch, HockeyTV or your league’s own player all work. A stream on your team’s own YouTube channel is still found automatically, as long as the broadcast is set to Public: an unlisted stream is hidden from your channel, so we cannot see it.
- A Skill Development category. Association skills sessions that arrive in the feed labelled skill development are now tagged as their own type, in amber, rather than lumped in with practices. Coaches can pick it for manual events too.
- Every team, one schedule. If you are on more than one TeamDock team (two kids in different programs, say), the Schedule page now has an All teams switch that puts every practice, game and tournament in a single list or calendar, each tagged with its team colour. Never the default, and it remembers your choice. One place, instead of switching teams or syncing everything to your phone calendar.
September 2026
Public Page
- The public schedule page has been rebuilt. The next fixture gets its own card with a countdown, games are grouped by month with home and away told apart at a glance, the rink is a map link, and a game that is streaming shows a live badge with a watch button. Games already played are kept below, ready for scores. Teams that publish everything also get a type filter.
- Anyone can now add your fixtures to their own calendar, straight from your public schedule page. No account needed, and it stays up to date on its own. It carries exactly what the page shows: games only, unless your team publishes everything.
- Share this page, from the top of the page. There is now a share button in the hero beside Follow This Team, and a small one in the site header of every public page, so passing your team on takes one tap. On a phone it opens your own share sheet, which is where the family group chat lives. On a computer it offers the link, Facebook, X and email.
- Follow This Team. Grandparents, billets, alumni and friends can now follow a team from its public page and get its updates in the app, with no coach approval and nothing for staff to manage. A supporter sees exactly what the public page shows and not one thing more: if the roster, the photos or the practices are not public, they are not visible to them either.
- Your next games, front and centre. Your public team page now shows the next three fixtures in their own section, with the opponent, the time and the rink, and it swipes on a phone. Games imported from your association read properly there too: “vs Orillia Terriers” rather than the raw feed title.
- Share your games without sharing your practices. "Show schedule publicly" used to mean the whole schedule: practices, skill sessions, meetings and team events, with their times and locations. It is now a choice between games and tournaments only, or everything. Teams already sharing a schedule have been set to games and tournaments, and you can switch to everything in Settings if that is what you want.
September 2026
Notifications
- The daily activity digest is now your own choice. It used to be a team switch: one coach turned it on and every coach, manager and trainer got a daily email with no way to decline. Each staff member now decides for themselves, per team, under Notifications. Everyone starts off, so switch it on if you want it.
- Fewer emails about your schedule. A game moving still reaches you right away, because that is the one you need. Routine league updates, the “7 new events added” kind, now wait for your morning roundup instead of arriving on their own, which is where most of TeamDock's email was going. You can put them back to arriving instantly, or switch them off, under Notifications.
- Your notification list keeps itself tidy. Read items clear after a couple of weeks and unread ones after a month and a half, schedule-sync notices no longer stack up one per change, and a join request stops nagging every coach once somebody has dealt with it. Nothing to press.
- You decide how much lands in your inbox. Notifications now opens with four presets: As it happens, Daily roundup, Weekly roundup, or Essentials only. Underneath, each kind of update (schedule changes, team news, polls and RSVPs, coach feedback and video) has its own push and email setting, and email can arrive right away, wait for your roundup, or stay quiet. The roundup is one email at 7 am, daily or on Sundays, holding everything you chose to catch up on. Chat never triggers one on its own, but when a roundup is already going out it ends with the chats you have not read. Schedule changes always come right away. Every team email now ends with a Manage email preferences link.
- Tapping a notification opens the right team. If you are on more than one and a message arrived from another team, the notification used to open your current team and show a page-not-found. Now it takes you straight to the chat, switching teams on the way.
- Your bell still shows every team you are on, and now each item takes you to the right one. A join request or schedule change from another team opens that team directly, with its name on the notification so you know where you are going.
September 2026
Photos
- Fix a gallery's title. Coaches and managers can now edit a gallery's title, description and date from the gallery itself, instead of deleting it and starting over, which took the photos with it.
- Zoom into a photo. Open any photo in a gallery and pinch, scroll or double tap to zoom right in, then drag around it, on your phone and on a computer alike. Handy for a team picture where you want to find one face. Photos are also kept at higher resolution now, so there is more to zoom into, and gallery pages load quicker because the thumbnails are proper thumbnails.
- Big photos upload properly. A photo straight off a phone is often several megabytes, and some of those were failing to send with little explanation. They are now resized before they leave your phone, and the ones that can't be are uploaded a different way instead of being refused.
September 2026
Members
- Find anyone in seconds. Members has a search box that matches a name, an email or a player, so typing a kid's name brings up both their parents, plus instant filters for staff, players, parents and anyone not yet linked to a roster spot, and sorting by name, role or who joined most recently. Switching tabs no longer reloads the page.
- Added someone as a coach by mistake? A head coach or admin can now change a staff member to Parent / Caregiver from their member page, under Role and permissions. They keep their place on the team and any players they are linked to, and simply lose the staff tools. Head coaches must hand off the title first, and the team can never be left without an admin.
- If you are staff on more than one team, Members now shows only the team you are in. Pending join requests, invitations and the link-to-player list were showing every team you coach, so it was possible to approve one team’s request while working in another. Approvals are now checked against the team you are in.
- A Reports tab under Members. When someone flags a chat message or photo, coaches and managers now see the report itself: who flagged it, the message or caption as it was, and their reason, with a button to open it in context and one to mark it resolved. The notification takes you straight there. Reports keep their snapshot even after the content is deleted.
September 2026
Roster
- Search and filter your roster. Look someone up by name or jersey number, filter to goalies, defence or any position your sport uses, and sort by name, number or position. Inactive players stay out of the way at the bottom.
September 2026
Mobile app
- Three fixes to the installed app. Approved members are let in as soon as a coach accepts them, instead of sitting on the waiting screen until the app was fully closed and reopened. Tapping a notification for another team now finishes the trip even if the app was starting up at the time. And switching to light mode no longer washes out the clock and signal icons at the top of the screen.
September 2026
Links
- Links now wear the site they point to. When a link is saved, TeamDock hunts down that site’s icon at the best size it offers, including the larger ones most sites keep but never advertise, so the league site, the arena and the team store are recognisable at a glance instead of a column of identical arrows. Existing links picked theirs up automatically.
September 2026
Sign-in
- Signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email? Your Account now has a Contact email: add the address you actually read, confirm it from the email we send, and the team uses it from then on, in coaches' member lists and for every team email. Coaches see an Apple relay tag on members who haven't added one yet.
- If your account was created with Microsoft sign-in, which TeamDock no longer offers, the sign-in screen now emails you a one-time link instead of a dead end. Once in, add Google, Apple or a password under Your Account.
September 2026
Mobile apps
- TeamDock is on the App Store and Google Play. The native iPhone and Android apps are live: push notifications for chat, news, feedback and schedule changes, quick sign-in with Face ID or fingerprint, and your whole team in your pocket. Free for every member of a subscribed team.
August 2026
News
- Preview before you send. When writing a news post, staff can now click Email me a test to get the email in their own inbox first, exactly as the team would see it. Nothing is published or sent to anyone else until you decide.
August 2026
Members
- Better member management. The Members list now has quick filters (Staff, Players, Parents, and Not linked, which surfaces anyone still needing a roster link). There's a new Trainer staff tier for team trainers: full staff access to the schedule, film and internal files, without admin control. And staff members can now be linked to their own child on the roster, so a coach or trainer who's also a parent sees their player's feedback and clips like any other family.
August 2026
Files
- Pin your core documents. Staff can now pin files like a players handbook or signed waivers, and pinned files stay in their own section at the top of the Files page instead of getting buried under weekly practice plans. There's also a new Team Documents category for filtering.
August 2026
Notifications
- Stay in the loop automatically. TeamDock now alerts your team about the things that change plans: when a coach moves or cancels an event, when your league feed updates the schedule (bundled into one tidy summary), and when a new announcement is posted. Alerts land in the notification bell and, for anyone who's turned on push, as an instant alert on their phone or computer. Turn push on from the Notifications page.
August 2026
Dock
- New coaches get a guided start. The Dock now shows a Get Your Team Started checklist until the essentials are done: pick your colours, connect your schedule, add your roster, invite your team, and post your first update. Each step links straight to the right place and checks itself off as you go. Finish the list (or hide it) and it disappears.
August 2026
Schedule
- Imported events now categorize themselves. When your league feed syncs, TeamDock reads each event title and tags practices, games (including the opponent when the title says "vs"), tournaments and off-ice sessions automatically, so your calendar is colour-coded from day one. Coaches and managers see a confirmation card on the Schedule page listing every auto-tagged event. Adjust any guess and confirm the lot in one click. Anything TeamDock isn't sure about is left for you rather than guessed wrong.
- Connected league calendars now sync themselves. If your team imports its schedule from an association feed (like MBSportsWeb), TeamDock refreshes it automatically every day, so schedule changes from your league show up without anyone pressing Sync. Cancelled or rescheduled league events are removed automatically too, so your TeamDock schedule stays true to the league's. Events you add manually are never touched, and the manual Sync now button in Settings still works whenever you want an instant refresh.
July 2026
Members
- Delegate the setup. A head coach can now give any staff member full admin access from their page under Members, so a team manager or assistant coach can handle Settings, Customize Your Dock, billing and members, while keeping their own title. It also covers the case where a manager creates the team first and hands the Head Coach title over later. TeamDock always keeps at least one admin, so a team can't lock itself out.
- Your team join code now sits at the top of the Members page with a copy link, so it's always at hand when a parent asks to join.
July 2026
Attendance
- New Attendance tracking for games and practices (turn it on in Customize Your Dock). Everyone is counted as going by default, so nobody has to tap 'yes' every time, and families just flag Maybe or Not going with a quick reason for the coach. Coaches get a clean roster with going / maybe / out counts per event. Prefer active RSVPs? Switch to ask-everyone mode, where each family responds and TeamDock can automatically remind anyone who hasn't.
July 2026
Schedule
- A refreshed schedule: a colour-coded month calendar is now the default view, with event-type filters and an upcoming panel down the side, plus a cleaner agenda list with day markers and Today / Tomorrow labels. Games, practices, tournaments and team events each get their own colour.
- New month-calendar view for the schedule. Toggle between the list and a proper calendar grid at the top of the Schedule page; tap any day to see its events. Handy once the season fills up.
- Sync the team schedule to your phone: tap Subscribe on the Schedule page to add it to Apple, Google or Outlook calendars. New and changed events update automatically, no re-adding.
- Adding an event is quicker: the end time fills in automatically (an hour after the start) and keeps your duration if you move the start.
July 2026
Film Room
- Build a highlight reel in one click. Tag any clip as Goal, Big Save, Big Block or Effort (clips can now carry a few tags at once), then hit Watch Highlights to play every whole-team highlight back to back, with branded open and close cards. No video editing, no uploads.
- Two viewing upgrades: a Theatre view that enlarges the player for easier review, and a +30s button to jump ahead and find the next play without dragging the scrubber.
- Coaches can now edit or delete clip notes, and the new −15s/−30s buttons rewind the video and set the timestamp together, so you can tag a play right after it happens.
July 2026
News
- The News section got a visual refresh on both your app and your public team page: a featured lead story up top, category tabs and search to filter as posts build up, and image-forward cards that fall back to your team logo when a post has no picture.
July 2026
Photos
- Families can now share the moment: players and parents can start their own team-only galleries and add photos or short video clips (up to 50 MB, about 30 seconds), perfect for that goal you caught on your phone. Staff still choose what appears on your public page.
- New setting: let players and parents add photos to your galleries. They can remove their own, staff can remove any, and it's off unless you turn it on. Big uploads are smoother too: photos are compressed on your device and large batches upload reliably.
July 2026
Team Chat
- Team messaging is here. Every team gets Team, Coaches and Parents channels automatically, and coaches or parents can start topic chats (a tournament, a carpool) with exactly the right people. Real-time, with mute controls and safe defaults: no private adult-to-player messages unless the head coach turns them on.

- Sign up and sign in with Facebook. Choose 'Continue with Facebook' on the login or sign-up screen, alongside email and Google.
July 2026
Public team page
- A big upgrade to your public team page: a premium branded hero in your team colours, quick-info cards, a full fundraising section (run up to three campaigns with goals, progress and share buttons), news cards, a photo strip, a share panel with a QR code, and a polished footer. Everything reflows to what your team has enabled.
- Your public team page got a refresh: a bolder header with your logo, division and season, and a 'Next up' card that shows your next game or practice front and centre (when your schedule is public).
July 2026
Fundraising
- Run multiple fundraising campaigns at once (up to three public), each with its own link, button label, optional image, goal and progress. Mark one as featured to headline your public support section.
July 2026
Files & Documents
- Organize files by category (Practice Plans, Forms & Waivers, Budget & Finance, Tournament Info) and filter to see one at a glance. New uploads now default to coaches-and-managers-only; switch to whole-team for family-facing docs.
- New Files area: staff upload documents and share them team-wide or keep them internal to coaches and managers. Toggle it on or off in Customize Your Dock.
July 2026
Team Newsletter
- The team newsletter got a full redesign: your logo and colours in the header, a summary of the edition, news previews, calendar-style event listings with New badges, and clearer poll callouts. News posts now choose email now, include in the newsletter, or app-only.
- Two new controls: pick the time of day your scheduled newsletter goes out (e.g. Sunday 8 AM before Monday practice), and remove individual items from the next edition right in the preview. The Newsletter page also shows your next scheduled send date and time.
July 2026
Team settings
- Set your team's timezone in Settings. Event times on your schedule, and when your newsletter sends, now follow your team's zone instead of always Eastern.
July 2026
Customize Your Dock
- New Customize Your Dock in Team Settings: switch features like Player Feedback, Goals, Photos, Polls and Fundraising on or off, so your dock shows only what your team actually uses. Your data is kept if you switch one back on.
July 2026
Stat tracking
- New optional Stat Tracking: record game stats right from the Film Room, tapping through your roster as you watch, and see season totals in a sortable Team Stats table. Choose whether stats stay coaches-only or are shared with the whole team. Hockey to start, with more sports to come.
June 2026
Team Newsletter & staff alerts
- New Team Newsletter: a roundup of your team's news, polls, film, photos, schedule and sponsors, sent on a schedule you choose or any time with one click.
- Staff now get an email, an in-app alert, and a push notification the moment someone asks to join the team.
- Choose exactly which team events notify your staff, right in Team Settings.
- The team is notified when you publish a new poll, so more people vote.
June 2026
Faster team setup & joining
- Per-player invite links that add a player or parent to your roster instantly, with no approval step.
- Share one join code or link for everyone, with new requests waiting for your approval.
- A “find my team” search so members can request to join even without a code.
- Bulk roster import: add your whole roster from a list in one step.
- Sign up and sign in with Google or Microsoft.
June 2026
A more organized app, and new guides
- Team Settings is now organized into clear tabs instead of one long page.
- Roster refinements: goalies show “catches,” and a general Forward (F) position was added.
- New Help Centre how-to guides and Coach Articles on film, feedback, and running an organized season.
- A clearer pricing page: the same features on the Annual Team Plan and Monthly Flex.
